	How about those Expos/Nationals. They really got screwed in 1994. Playoff bound for the first time since their only actual playoff appearance in 1981, only to have the season cancelled. Sheesh!

	Yes, we Expos fans got screwed royally in 1994. The sad thing is, we considered ourselves snakebitten before that even happened. That just took it to a whole new level. Hard to imagine only one postseason appearance in 36 seasons. Amazing when you consider how much great talent passed through the Expos organization - Carter, Dawson, Raines, Wallach, Galarraga, Walker, Alou, Grissom, Martinez, Guerrero, the list goes on. Always the bridesmaids, never the brides. RIP.

	@bigmitchdogg - I'll assume you meant to type 93. They have not made the playoffs since their back-to-back World Series wins; one year better than the Pirates, who you'll recall lost in the 92 NLCS.

	I think it's quite interesting with only 8 mlb playoff teams streaks like this occur, but in the other sports every team has been in the playoffs the within the last 10 years

	The Cleveland Browns last made the playoffs in 2002-2003, tying them with the Texans. They went 10-6 in 2007, but that wasn't a playoff birth (Titans had a better division record: 4-2 to Cleveland's 3-3, and made the playoffs instead).

	@TheGreatBobRoss: The Browns & Titans are in different divisions so their division records did not determine who got the Wildcard spot that year. Here is the tiebreaking criteria for that scenario: - TO BREAK A TIE FOR THE WILD-CARD TEAM: - If it is necessary to break ties to determine the two Wild-Card clubs from each conference, the following steps will be taken. - If the tied clubs are from different divisions, apply the following steps. - Two Clubs 1-Head-to-head, if applicable. 2-Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. 3-Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four. 4-Strength of victory. 5-Strength of schedule. 6-Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. 7-Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. 8-Best net points in conference games. 9-Best net points in all games. 10-Best net touchdowns in all games. 11-Coin toss.

	The 1994 Royals never seem to get the same recognition as the 1994 Expos. Kansas City had just finished a 16-game winning streak and had cut a 14-game deficit to 3 games with two months to go in the season. We very well could've had a Royals-Expos World Series in 1994. Also, the 2000 Royals had the best offense in baseball but finished in last thanks to 36 ... 36!!!! ... blown saves. The outfield combo of Dye, Damon and Beltran all became perennial All-Stars, while the best offensive player that year was Mike Sweeney, who was on track for a Hall of Fame career until back injuries put him on the DL for the better part of 2003-07. If the 2000 Royals had a closer, they would've been a 100-win ball club.

	If the Blue Jays played in ANY other division in baseball they would have had multiple playoff teams in the last 10 years. Instead, they have to play the Yankees and the Red Sox 40 times a season and get nowhere.

	@BillyMumphrey, that excuse would be vaild except the Rays have won two division titles 2 of the past 3 years in a division with the Red Sox and Yankees with an even lower payroll than the Jays. Face it, the Blue Jays just suck

	@Clint....The Royals were once one of the best teams in baseball in the 1970s/1980s. But nothing since they won it all in 1985. Call it the curse of Don Denkinger.

	I agree with a couple of the people saying it should be longer. You really have to have this stuff memorized and its not exactly common knowledge. I was only able to get through 2 whole sports. It is a very good quiz though

	Time to update this quiz! The Knicks, Pacers and Grizzlies made the playoffs this year (2011). Plus the Leafs, Panthers, Oilers, T-Wolves, Clippers & Kings all missed the playoffs again.

	baseball needs a SALARY CAP! yankees have a few teams close to them but besides that they are way ahead of most of the league. The pirates had 34 mill in 2010 while yanks had 206...20 teams below 100 as well...even out the playing field its ridiculous
