	Courgette. Barf would also be the equivalent of 'puke', vomit not being slang. Trainers is much more commonly used than 'tennis shoes' also. I don't understand peak/peep either

	Americans say "Taxi." And I agree with zertrudetrout that "trainers" is the better British version of sneakers. "Tennis shoes" is actually the preferred usage in parts of the midwestern US.

	I thought 'closet' more often referred to somewhere where you keep clothes, in which case the UK equivalent would be 'wardrobe'. Again, perhaps 'maize' is more typically UK, but I've always used and heard 'corn'. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

	Indeed buckeyebob, lots of British people say "cab" as well so I'm not really sure if that one is a UK/USA thing at all. "barf" should be translated "puke", "vom" or one of many others, not "vomit". "sneakers" should be "trainers". As for the others: bar/pub - no, we have both in the UK, they are distinct, it's the same in the US, isn't it? can/tin - in the UK, it's usually called a can if it contains drink, but a tin if it contains food. So a bit more subtle. cookie/biscuit - we call American-style cookies cookies. corn/maize - as zertrudetrout said, most of us say "sweetcorn" in my experience. Certainly not "maize". movie/film - it's actually very common to hear "movie" in the UK now. billboard/hoarding - again, "billboard" is widespread here.

	americans say shop film and university too. in the US theres more of a functional difference between what we call colleges and universities, and someone saying shop over here is just as common as store

	Interesting quiz :) I think the difference with the college/university thing is that here in the US when one is asked what their education plans are or what they are currently pursuing they would say "I am going to (or "I am in") college" and would never say "I am going to university", which I believe is the way it's said in the UK. Also we refer to things like "college sports" or "college-bound student". "University" (as touched on above) generally only is used as a descriptive term referring to larger schools with more students that offer a wider variety of degrees, often in just about every type of field. Meanwhile, "College" would usually indicate a smaller school and possibly less variety of degrees. (Also sometimes universities are made up of colleges) These terms are then used in direct reference to what the school actually is. i.e. "Harvard University is a university in Massachusetts." -or- "The best four-year college I applied to is Davis College." Long story short, only college is used as the "more vague" term.
