	I dont think Joseph is a unique first name. I think peyton is a little weirder than Joseph. Even Dallas or Pierre

	@khyamw: If you search Joseph using the source (NFL player database), he is the only Joseph in the league technically. I assume there are some Joe's whose full names are Joseph however they are not listed as such. Peyton Hillis rules out Peyton Manning, Pierre Thomas (among others) rules out Garcon and Dallas Clark is ruled out by an Eagles Center Dallas Reynolds.

	A lot of them are nicknames, Wes is short for Wesley. Nicknames are fine for this puzzle, but some of the names aren't really unique.

	@y2jdilemma, MisterF, and terpnation: I noticed this as well but I simply went with how they are listed on NFL.com and their respective rosters so as to avoid this issue. Carnell would be unique anyway so he would stay either way but a few of these would have to be replaced if I were to not accept nicknames (Wes, Joseph, Beanie, etc.). Not a big deal imo, if a lot of people have an issue with it I could change it.

	And for the sake of this quiz, the term "unique" is interpreted as being unique to the NFL. According to NFL.com all of the above players are the only ones to have that first name in all of the NFL.

	@metsfan2231 Actually back in the 1800s there was a regulation that all outside backs had to be named Ndamukong. The rule was banned in the 1870s when they realized it wasn't to smart of an idea. :)

All those complaining that some of these names aren't strange, really need to look up what unique means. It means the only one of its kind. It doesn't mean strange, interesting, unusual, uncommon, or remarkable.
None of these names are unique to the world, only the NFL.

	For the Chargers, Shawne Merriman was cut recently so you could exchange him with: Ogemdi Nwagbuo (DT), Vaughn Martin (DE), or Luis Castillo (DE).

	Good quiz but I think you should accept the city name as well as the team name. I don't know if it is just me but I tried to type the city name first and it wasn't working even though I knew that I had it right. For the Jets and Giants you should only accept team names though.

	I think it's a terrible idea to include Joseph just because he uses his full name when nearly every other Joe has the same given name. The creativeness of this quiz is in highlighting the number and variety of names in the NFL and I think you detract from it by using names that are not actually unique. I also think it's silly to use nicknames. Love the idea, really don't like the execution.

	@moviegoer74: So then I guess Percy should be removed too, as his real name is William? Gotta draw the line somewhere with nicknames. I'm not about to go through every single name to see if their name is actually what the NFL says it is. And if everyone calls someone by a nickname, that is what their name should be recognized as, considering that is what they want to be known as. I don't think anyone who plays in the NFL would report their name to their official roster as the name they do not want to be called. Therefore, if they are called Joseph and no one else in the NFL wants to be called that they are truly unique.

	Percy (William), Dunta (Willie), Champ (Roland), Ronde (Jamael), Roddy (Sharod), Cadillac (Carnell), Beanie (Chris) are some nicknames I quickly just found that should be considered. I guess they all should be removed, or better yet, I'll put Sharod and Jamael on there cuz no one else has those names but no one will know who they are. And I should only include full names right? So I'll toss in Ositadimma (Osi for short) and one that's not on here, Elisha (Eli Manning for short). Sorry about the rant, gotta draw the line for nicknames/full names somewhere (what the source is for) and it would just get way too complicated otherwise. And plus, having Joseph in there makes it easier for you, you should be thanking me for it.

	@MattL...Percy is Harvin's actual middle name. Ronde is short for Barber's actual middle name of Oronde. Eli, Osi, Roddy...all just shortenings of those players' actual names. That's distinctly different from Cadillac and Beanie, which have nothing to do with anything on those players' birth certificates. Incidentally, Dunta appears to be Robinson's actual middle name as well.

	@moviegoer74: The point is they choose the name they want to be called on the roster (Champ is another example of this). Whether it is your middle name, a shortened name, or a random nickname, it should not matter. Whatever they choose to be called on the OFFICIAL roster through the NFL should count as enough. This follows the source perfectly as any good quiz should. BTW, way to have 4 accounts to boost your comments and diminish those that you are arguing with, pathetic. If you don't like the quiz, make one yourself that's worthwhile and excludes certain worthy names based on your own judgment call and not a source.
