| Wow, Shaq really was that great, at least based on PER, to beat out Magic and Kobe for all 5 spots. In general the stat seems slightly biased toward big men. For example, assists must not figure that heavily for guys like Stockton and Nash, who also added very high FG% and steals, to be beaten out by Malone and Nowitzki for all 5 spots (and Stoudemire over Nash is also interesting). How does a guy like Jason Kidd miss out completely? He was a triple double machine, and I know PER is very dependent on the traditional stats.
