| Responding in order. . .New FE Lord is not a character, but I felt it was necessary to include seeing how it is far more mentioned than any of the other named FE characters. How is Lip not a retro character? Toad is much less likely than Bowser Jr. because of having very insignificant roles regardless of his long history - Goomba has just as long of a history, and it's a monumental event when a major character actually sticks around in the main Mario games. Waluigi is in an even worse boat than Toad, considering he doesn't even have seniority as a selling point, and has even more insignificant roles than Toad. I agree on Ashley having no chance, but I'd be getting even more flames if I just blatantly said "No" to a bunch of these characters even more-so than I already am. The characters are not ranked within their likelihood tiers, so yes, Toon Zelda is more likely than the Twilight Princess exclusive chars, though that's not saying much. Meowth will struggle significantly to get in when even Mewtwo is struggling to do so, his only remotely feasible chance of getting in after he is in SSB5, and that'd flood the roster with 1st gen reps. Waddle Dee, Leon, and Golden Sun characters outside those posted are very very rarely suggested - Kirby fans cannot agree on a fourth rep, most actual Starfox fans who aren't obsessed with Krystal's cleavage think Starfox is perfectly fine with the 3 it has, and very few people actually think Golden Sun will come into the series with more than a single rep, hence why only main characters are up. One of the few things I will actually agree upon here is that I blatantly should've included Caeda, but the other retros and 3rd parties are again generally too suggested at random and unconsistently outside Diskun. Geno's chance is indeed pathetically low - I was wading through chances varying between 2-5% at that point, so him being above them is far from an endorsement for him to come into Smash. Marking the Retro series would make them much too easy to get to the point of giving away t |
