The absences of V, X and Y aren't really acceptable, since there's Van Halen, Vampire Weekend, The Verve, Velvet Underground, Veruca Salt, Vanilla Ice, Stevie Ray Vaughan, XTC, Xzibit, X, Yes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Yellowcard, and Thom Yorke, among a bunch of others for you to use.
