Couldn't get bandana; without something for comparison, I thought it was a rug. That said, good quiz.

Maybe accept "Checker Board" for "Chess Board"?

The napkin looks like a card and the bandana looks like a napkin. The sticky notes look like cheese. Please, get better images.

@myb55: checker boards are most commonly black and red (while i have seen tan and black ones) while the image shown is a common color scheme for a chess board.

Please accept 'crosswords GRID', and 'Post-It', as in some countries no one calls them any other way.

The bottom one in column 4 looks a lot like some other things, especially a rug or a napkin (in my opinion).

There are two kinds of people in this world: those that say 'checker board' and those that say 'chess board'.

I wonder why a wrestling ring is called a "ring" when it's actually a square?

I wonder when there will be a sporcle user who doesn't remember the floppy disk and therefore wouldn't be able to get that one.

For the 4th image in the bottom row, could record be accepted? I put in CD and that was accepted (I was going for record album cover then cd cover). Great quiz- some of those did make me think a little lol.

Maybe it was just me, but it was really hard to tell that was a napkin. Now that I *know* that's what it is, I can kind of see the ridging around the two sides, but I must have tried nearly every variation of notecard/letter/stationary/wedding invite/origami paper I could think of.

I didn't realize iPod Nanos are square now. Mine's a rectangle, but I've had it for five or so years now. And I agree with ArturU about the Post-It thing. I tried post-it, post it, and postit before finally trying post-it note and getting it. Most people just call it a post-it.

J_to_the_eph: I don't know, people usually have a sense of what technology from before they were born looks like. I was born in the 80s, but I'd recognize a 1970s arcade game, or a 1950s room-sized computer, or a biplane, or one of those cameras where the photographer ducks under a black cloth.

Does anyone remember when floppy discs actually WERE floppy? I was pretty much raised with early 90s computers... when I was a kid and the smaller thicker floppy disc came out, I thought that was what a "hard disc" was.

Thanks for just accepting code. I tried bar code thinking maybe that was close enough. I thought the napkins were post-it notes. Never could work out that it was a napkin.

So...if it's a sticky note, why does it need to be pinned to the wall?

this quiz is miscategorized. if you are going to include floppy disks and albums, it should be under history, not miscellaneous.

You should really accept something like tag, scan tag, scannable tag or mobile tag. I'm sure lots of people know what those are without knowing the "scientific" name.

Just out of curiosity, I scanned the QR Code on my phone bar code scanner, it came up with a link back to this specific quiz. I thought that was amazing attention to detail for a quiz.

If you're accepting 'code' then you should definitely accept 'barcode', as a QR code is a type of barcode, which in turn is a type of code.

gizmocraig: a s'more is a toasted marshmallow and bit of chocolate smushed between two graham cracker squares. Yum!
