	Ohio state showed up even though i had only typed in "Ohio". For your information, Ohio University has its own football team, and they've made bowl games the last three seasons, so they are talented. Same thing with Penn for Penn State, i thought the quakers' stadium was 50,000, and I'm fairly sure there are a lot of larger stadiums.

	^Agreed. Quiz shouldn't accept just Ohio and Penn. St should necessary (though to be fair, it's hard to imagine anyone who typed in Ohio or Penn would be intending to guess Ohio U or UPenn). Also, I know you do accept Devil Rays, but I might display that as the answer (but still accept Rays) since that's what they were called when Piniella managed them.

	Oakland and Kansas City were not NFL teams when they lost the Super Bowl. The first five NFL teams to lose Super Bowls were the Baltimore Colts, the Minnesota Vikings, the Dallas Cowboys, the Miami Dolphins, and the Washington Redskins.

	Still pains me to no end that the Colts lost SB III. 1969 was not a good year for Baltimore sports. The heavily favored Colts, Orioles, and Bullets lost to the Jets, the Mets, and the Knicks in their respective league championships.

	@Tony_A: Your memory is failing you. The Bullets lost to the Knicks in the East Finals in 1970. They also finished 10 games back of the Knicks that year. In 69 they met in the semis and were far from heavily favored.

	I think somebody made a comment earlier saying you had to be talented to make it into a bowl game in D1 college football. That's a joke. You have to have barely a .500 record to get into a bowl.

	@ Tony_A...yes the Colts were heavily favored but in hindsight we know that was a bit of a mirage based on the underrating of the AFL. The Jets were just as good as the Colts, people just didn't believe it because they played in the AFL. (When the Chiefs won Super Bowl IV it meant that, in terms of Super Bowls won before the merger, the AFL & NFL finished in a 2-2 tie). And yes the Orioles were heavily favored over the Mets, but looking back they shouldn't have been as heavily favored as they were. It's not like the Mets were some mediocre team that won a weak division. They won 100 games. I know the Orioles won 109 and deserved to be favored, but when a 100-win baseball teams wins a best of 7 series against a 109-win team, it's really not that shocking. It's just the nature of baseball. The Mets' pitiful first 7 years made it hard for the oddsmakers to believe what they were seeing in 1969. All of which is to say that while Jets over Colts and Mets over Orioles were upsets, they probably weren't as big of upsets as they seemed at the time.

	Phil Jackson over Red Auerbach is an absolute travesty, Jackson takes over teams with stars already in their prime and then leaves when they start to decline/retire. Auerbach scouted, drafted, developed and made all the Celtic legends the players they eventually became.

	I was surprised that Steve Carlton wasn't in the top five to 3000 strikeouts, but it appears Perry beat him by 2-1/2 years. I was also surprised (but only a little) to see Don Shula on the list instead of an MLB manager like Casey Stengel (7 WS titles).
