Great quiz but two corrections: (1) Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote the Casebook of Sherlock Holmes. (2) It's Cleary, not Clearly.

@Margann: Doh! My bad. Thanks for pointing out. I'll correct.

The novel is actually called "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." It was shortened for the movies.

Thumbs up if you tried "Liz" for "Claiborne."

I suppose "Planet" is not generally recognized as a first name.

Normally I'd give the correct spelling of "Aykroyd," but not this time.

I'm a real winner. Some gems that popped into my head. Ned Flanders, Liz Claiborne, Air Budd, The Murder of Dan Ackroyd, Sister Act

Anyone else notice Jim Carrie? ;) (I know it's spelled Carrey but I couldn't help laughing)

@fmultari yeah, some more bonuses would've been fun. Don't forget, Planet of the Apes and My-my-my-my Sharona.

Along with Ned Flanders, another that popped into my head was Sister Christian.

Beyond those already mentioned, I also tried Mayor Quimby, Age 8.

I actually knew Moll Flanders and was thinking Ned Quimby, so I still got a heidi ho neighbor. Surprised at how many movie and celebrity names appeared to me as well, but with names like Dorian, Moll, Franny, Sherlock, Cyrano, Horton, Tarzan and Owen, just guessing names is not the way to answers.

I thought I was being quite clever thinking that Janet of the Apes might have been a female retelling of Planet of the Apes.

I guessed Bugs Meany too. I was so confused when it wouldn't work! My brain also couldn't get past Dan Ackroyd...

I was kind of hoping for Sister, Sister myself. And now I'm in the mood to watch it.

@catcherj, YES! In fact, the similarity of the two last names had me googling to make sure it wasn't just a mental slip by MSUKent, but lo-and-behold, it's not! Who knew?

Ugh, I tried at least four different spellings for both the Albom and Salinger answers and whiffed each time. Finally gave up with a few minutes left (such a quitter).

Having the author's names helped with some of the ones that initially stumped me. I never would have gotten "____ in London" without Bemelmans.
