I made this quiz and never released, and now I'm going to delete it. Haha, Good job :)

MovieGuru: Why didn't you release it?

I reached my limit for quizzes that I could release in the month. I typically have about 4 completed quizzes sitting in my 'games in progress' that I only release if it is the end of the month and I still have available releases. (And they don't get released because they get beat out by movie quizzes, haha).

Actually, I made a Disney quiz about half a year ago that I can't release until Sporcle allows multiple wrong answers for one guess, so if you have any influence with the admins... ;)

Nice quiz! I definitely think could shave a minute or two off though. I finished with 4:17 to go.

I got tripped up by dark purple and light purple. Haven't played for awhile and couldn't remember which group was which. Nice quiz.

Never played American Monopoly. So I'm pleased to have gotten four.

It just seems wrong that Vermont isn't green.

It took me a while to figure out that 'Dark Purple' referred to the spaces I know as brown, and that 'Light Purple' was in place of pink spaces.

I would say the "light purple" is fuchsia. Then the "dark purple" can just be referred to as "purple".

I second Fusty's comment. These quizes are impossible for people from the Commonwealth who only know the London version.

@Fusty and Emerald_Fusion...or just make a UK version yourself.
I agree with TAR2 though. Fuchsia or Magenta and Purple would be better than Light Purple and Dark Purple.

Love the quiz, but I wish there were a way to make the final answers display the property rather than the color.

I'm not sure what color St.Charles-States-Virginia is precisely, but I've never referred to them as light purple, nor has anyone I've played the game with. Maroon, Fuchsia...not light purple. I also think of Baltic-Mediterranean as Brown, but I believe our newest version has them as a deep purple.

Agree with everyone above about the light purple issue. I got all three of the "light purple" properties wrong because I couldn't picture those spaces at all with that color description

The dark purples have been changed to brown, along with some other changes, including different banknotes (same value, different combinations), a flat rate $200 income tax (no more 10%), and luxury tax has been upped from $75 to $100.

Very cool idea for a quiz! I was shocked how poorly I did. I usually have a better color memory. Or I thought I did...

I wonder why light purple is the most forgotten. I, too, forgot one there.

This would have worked better if the answers were colored, rather than words.

@Sanky: if that's true about dropping the 10% option for income tax, that saddens me. Even as a young kid, I would compare the $200 and 10% to see which was more advantageous. A couple kinds of lessons in there that kids are missing out on today.

I would have nailed this if it was the Disney monopoly version. Alas, I did horribly.

@TAR2: The official rules say that if you opt to figure out the 10% (which includes properties), then you have to pay that amount, no matter which is more advantageous. Our house rule has always been "$150 until you pass GO. Then it's $200."
