	I'm both perplexed and baffled and stunned by the absence of Salvatore from this list. And shocked. Drizzt D'Urden is one of the most famous characters in the Forgotten Realms, and nothing.

	@Pogues: Salvatore will be in the sequel quiz. I'm not familiar with Drizzt, since I haven't read Forgotten Realms (I avoided reading books based on role-playing games after a few bad experiences), so I forgot about Salvatore when making this one. But like I said, he's noted for the sequel, and there are plenty of other notable authors yet to be used.

	Excellent quiz. What, no Mercedes Lackey or John Scalzi? This definitely needs a sequel quiz. Glad to see Pratchett and Susan Cooper here! And now I've got a recommended reading list for the few I'd never heard of.

	@jasperwyld: Yeah, Howard was one of the first "How did I forget that" names I put on the list for the sequel. @plantsareneat: Lackey's slated for the sequel. Wasn't familiar with Scalzi, but he looks like a good potential candidate as well.

	@Chunklets, frimbo: Jotted down. @NY_MOB: The main problem with including Bradbury is that, to the best of my knowledge, his novels haven't been series. If I'm mistaken, or if one of his fix-up novels is considered a series in and of itself by most people, let me know. He's certainly an important SF writer, and I'm not fond of excluding him any more than I am of not having Wells or Verne in here. Alternately, I might include some writers based on singular works, if the work is notable enough. But I'm not committing to that yet.

	Wow, I'm shocked you've missed out Iain M. Banks, one of the best SciFi authors going. The Culture books are amazing. Also, no David Gemmel? He had loads of classics- Waylander, Druss, Jon Shannow... the list goes on.

	It's surprising how few fantasy authors people know these days. : Back in the day everybody used to read David Eddings and Margaret Weis, but now nobody seems to know who they are. Also, am I the only one who knows Janny Wurts and has her books? -_-; Let's see, the other lesser known ones I like are Robert Jordan, George R.R. Martin, Raymond E. Feist, Rick Riordan, Susan Cooper, Lloyd Alexander, Margaret Weis. How on earth is it possible people don't know these authors? :l
