| That is interesting about the 28.3 sacks. I never knew this before, but apparently in 1982 they would give .3 sacks when a sack needed to be split between 3 players. The 1982 Bucs had 25 sacks as a team, but their players only combined for 24.9, since 3* .3 falls a little short of 1. I'm assuming that after 1982 they changed the rule so that any player involved gets credit for at least 0.5 of a sack. They must have thought it was odd to have guys with season totals of 4.8 and 2.3 sacks. |
