Statistics include both Summer and Winter games, but don't include the London 2012 games since they are still ongoing, so medal totals are those from the Wikipedia link in the source which counts medals up to and including Vancouver 2010. Includes NOC's that are not sovereign states, but does not include countries that competed but no longer exist, such as the USSR. Also doesn't include the Unified Team, Mixed Teams from the early years of the Olympics, or Independent Athletes, for obvious reasons.
