First off, parts of this quiz have been used on already-published quizzes. Second, this might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm going to say it: This is FAR too heavy-rock oriented. Of all current/recent bands aside from the biggies (RHCP, Metallica, U2, R.E.M.), we get Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Tool? I'm not saying these are bad bands by any stretch, but with that said, you should either make it an all-hard-rock quiz or replace one or two of those.

Plus Syd Barrett should be a bonus for Pink Floyd, as all five were in a band together at one point.

To build upon what lyricsfreak said, there need to be several choices on here with alternate answers, particularly for those who aren't currently in the band. Among others, Barrett should at least count for Gilmour, as both are vocalists/guitarists. Kenney Jones and maybe even Zac Starkey should work for Keith Moon. There is a laundry list of other guitarists/drummers for RHCP. Alice in Chains is currently touring with a vocalist that isn't Layne Staley. Good quiz overall, but it needs some serious tweaking before publishing.

a lot of these bands have had many different members. But the quiz doesn't ask for the current lineup OR the original lineup. It's a mish mash of both, essentially asking for the most famous line up. Its confusing to figure out which Metallica bassist you're asking for, or which RHCP guitarist is right. Once thats cleared up the quiz is good.

made a few edits, hope it helped the quiz a bit. what the quiz is asking for is the most famous band line-up but it also accepts other band members such as the other rhcp guitarists and metallica bassists

I didn't try him so I don't know if it works, but my personal opinion is that since Ozzy and Ronnie James Dio are really the only two sabbath members with notable solo careers that Dio should work as well as Osbourne.

How has Sean Kinney has been guessed so much more than Layne Staley?!

@mister_pianoman: dio works. Also, I'm shocked at the percentage for the guitarist and bassist of Black Sabbath, and the guitarist for Soundgarden.

There's one you get as a bonus when you type in "Starr". Also, I think CSNY were too easy, given this format. They should be used in quizzes where you need to enter first names, imo.

I think 5 minutes is a little short for 64 answers. I know it was for me. Also, you should accept Will Ferrel as a bonus answer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Echo and the Bunnymen! The Smiths! Plus many, many others, of course. I'm not sure if you already are, but I would also accept Hillel Slovak as an alternative for RHCP. I think this could be a really great and fun quiz, if you expanded on it even more :)

What about the Ramones? They had more than 4 over-all, but only 4 at a time.
