some of these are backwards: Fred Ottman was known as Tugboat in the WWF prior to joining John Tenta (Earthquake) in the Natural Disasters and going by Typhoon; Ron Simmons wrestled under his real name (and won a title) in WCW before coming to the WWF as Farrooq; Joseph Laurinaitis was Animal in the tag team The Road Warriors in the NWA for years before coming to the WWF, where they were known as the Legion of Doom; the same can be said for Mick Foley, as Cactus Jack was a gimmick he used long before Dude Love or Mankind.

Was doing based on WWE for the most part, Joe Laurinaitis was Animal until he became the Road Warrior in 2006 for a brief run, Simmons was always Farooq in WWE until he started the DAMN! gimmick in 2006 and Foley started in WWE as Mankind, Cactus Jack was his third gimmick in WWE. Thanks for the Fred Ottman one though I'll fix that.

Alot of these are backwards, makes it really hard. One example: Cactus Jack was around looooong before Dude Love.

I tried every variation of "masked SES member" I could think of and still didn't get it because I didn't type "SES masked man" exactly. Frustrating.

Couple other errors: Dr Tom Prichard was one of the heavenly bodies in the early 90's before he was Zip, and Mosh was briefly known as "Beaver Cleavage" before he was called Chaz. Bull Buchanan was originally known as Recon from the truth commission and Bid Daddy V was Mabel originally.

Some of these aren't repackaging so much as just getting new names. For example, "Albert" to "Tensai" is a better example of repackaging than "Albert" to "A-Train." Also, perhaps "Skip Sheffield" to "Ryback" would be a better example as well.

ses masked man isn't really a gimmick especially since he was still performing as Joey Mercury
Oct 8th, 2012 at 21:04 GMT
The SES masked man was billed as Joseph Mercury.
