You might want to specify what is used to define population of a city

Yes - it would also be useful to know what source the city populations are from.

Used a mix of wikipedia and citypopulation as it wasn´t that easy to find out for some countries. Tried to go the city, not metro area, route.

You accepted Davao City without 'City', but you didn't do that for Cebu City. Also, accepting Nizhny is helpful too (according to Wikipedia that's sometimes used as a shortened forum)

Not sure why the displayed names of Cologne and Munich are the German versions. This isn't done for any other countries (you have Moscow instead of Moskva, Mexico City instead of Ciudad de México, etc.), and it's not the usual Sporcle way.

I think you should accept alternative spellings Nizhni and Nizhniy for Nizhny Novgorod

You should use metro areas population. It's funny how Phoenix is bigger than San Francisco, Washington, Detroit, Atlanta or Miami. In Brazil Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre are bigger than Fortaleza, Brasilia and Salvador.

I thought this wasn't all that hard after all. Then I came to Ethiopia and was thoroughly humbled. Well done!

I think Monterrey, Mexico was overlooked. Wikipedia says it has a population of 2+ million.
