| The source site really strikes me as playing things very inconsistently with its definition of what comprises a city. In some cases it will include a municipality in a larger "urban settlement" and present that total settlement population as being the "city" population, not listing the municipality at all. In other cases, it needlessly breaks legitimate cities into their comprising "communities" only listing the community populations as being individual cities, for no reason seemingly other than that the community population data was readily available. This second case seems to be where Quezon City, the LARGEST city in the Philippines does not even appear in the list or this quiz. Note that this is not a case of township divisions being ignored in favor of only counting individual municipalities as cities as in parts the US. This is justified on quizzes due to common conception and parlance of what a "city" is. Here, we are starting with defined cities and on a whim apparently only listing their individual administrative locales as being cities. |
