I would have to think Joe Pesci's best character was Vincent Gambini.

I'm not sure this needs to be a mine quiz

@mrun41- When i originally created the quiz, i didn't intend it to be a mine quiz but once i finished it, i felt that it was just a touch to easy. However, if people agree with you, i will be more than happy to get rid of the mine aspect.

I know it's your quiz so feel free to just ignore my suggestion, but my two cents on Leonardo di Caprio's "arguably best character" is that it might be from Titanic, not Catch me if you Can. (I do like it better though)

I like the quiz, but I have to say that my favorite Steve Buscemi character was Donny Ketabatsos. "Your phone's ringing, Dude..."

Obviously this is all opinion but no DiCaprio's Jack from Titanic is most def not his best character. most profitable does not mean best. I am ok with Frank Abagnale though I feel his characters in Gangs of New York and The Departed are slightly better. I would say no to Jack Sparrow being Depp's 'best' character. Another case where most profitable/popular doesnt mean best, I'd say his performance as Hunter S Thompson in Fear and Loathing was his best.

I understand this is an opinion thing but there is no way in hell Bill Murray's best character is Ernie McCraken from Kingpin, seriously Stripes, What About Bob, Rushmore, Life Aquatic, Caddyshack, and obivously Peter Venkman from Ghosbusters are all more iconic Murray characters

I probably should have given you a low rating for saying Truman was Carrey's best character instead of Ace Ventura... but I didn't.

Like many of you have said, it's pretty much just all about opinions. Ernie McCracken is clearly not Bill Murray's most well known or iconic character but he's absolutely genius in that film (Which i suppose he is in many). As for Jim Carrey, i feel that Truman is his best career performance, hence why i went with that one. But apart from one or two obvious picks, i feel that you could pretty much debate every other choice and have a pretty strong argument.

Jim Carrey's best performance was as Joel Barish in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. But that's the problem with opinion quizzes...everybody's opinion is different.

@amwoods13-Very true, but i wouldn't class this as an "Opinion" quiz. Yes, you may not agree that, that particular character is their best, however, it's still a fact that they played that character, regardless of opinions.

Answering Edward Norton for Tyler Durden isn't exactly incorrect.

Haha...I clicked on Joe Pesci when 'Marv' came up...like from Home Alone??? That was a pretty good character as well. I agree with most everything except that I really think Matt Damon's best work is in Team America: World Police.

If i understand right, this quizz is about your opinion. I dont think die hard is the best movie from bruce willis, I think is one of the worst moviee i've ever seen... but is my opinion... so how can I guess your tastes?...I dont like the quizz...sorry

@Awezomesauce- Marv from Home alone was a pretty great character, however, Joe Pesci didn't play Marv, he played Harry. Marv was played by Daniel Stern.

@rosinha:- I think you have completely misinterpreted the quiz, it has nothing to do with guessing my tastes. Also, i believe you said, "Die Hard is one of the worst movies i've ever seen" Are you insane, or just plain stupid?

Randy "The Ram" Robinson has to be Rourke's best performance (although his Marv in Sin City is a very good character). I would also say Dicaprio's best was as Howard Hughes in the Aviator. He got snubbed for an Oscar in favor of Jamie Foxx that year. Bill Murray's Bob Harris in Lost in Translation was also genius. Good quiz

You'd save yourself some grief (and maybe even get published) if you dropped the "best character" bit and just called them popular roles.

@Cockroach- Yeh, that's not a bad shout. I doubt the quiz will get published, as i don't really think it's all that great. However it will definitely stop people from whinging at me. Thanks for the suggestion.

@Larryholmes: 15 people have agreed that this would be better if it was not a mine quiz. I definitely didn't know all the character names. It's a little testosterone heavy (not a bad thing, but that means it's not that easy for girls.

Could've been a great quiz, but why end on the first wrong answer? In this format, we are normally allowed to guess each clue once, and get score from those that we get right.

There's quite a few actors that could be added to a quiz like this, even though many of them are obvious (like Michael Corleone). You could probably follow up with a female quiz, though I know for myself that would be way harder
