Additional Notes: (1) I apologize for some clips being poorer quality than others. (2) Every show above aired at least one episode in the 1990's. So even if a large percentage of a show's episodes first aired in the 1980's or 2000's, I put them on anyways. I mainly did this because of the decline in sitcoms/sitcom theme songs in the later 1990's. (3) If there are any other concerns, improvements, or general suggestions, please let me know. Enjoy!

Got 'em all but "Amen." Need another one with "Wings," "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Melrose Place," "The Nanny," "Designing Women," "Murphy Brown," "LA Law," "ER," "Quantum Leap," "Walker: Texas Ranger," etc.

surprised i remember some of these...if you asked me to sing the them for mr. belvedere and head of the class I wouldn't have been able to, but I had no trouble identifying them. clips probably could've been 5 seconds rather than 10 seconds. but otherwise, awesome quiz!

This quiz should definitely be set to: Force User to enter answers in order. It would be too easy to just name the popular shows of the time period. I got a few answers right by guessing wrong. I heard a theme, thought it was one thing, but got the answer to an entirely different song.

I agree with Richie. I started naming shows and got answers before the theme came up.

Nice quiz, really enjoyable. I've actually got a "3 second T.V Theme Challenge" quiz in the works, but let me know if I'm treading on your territory.

@RichieW13: I was thinking about that, but either way you're going to have people complain. If more have the same beef with the quiz, I'll change it. @Saulmeister: Who am I to stop you? Besides, I think I have a niche with the 90's. Thanks for the comments/praise.

I think the quiz is best the way it is. Otherwise you always have to press next when the next song comes on and if you want to go back to a certain one you'll have to find the right spot. It's time comsuming. The ones you guessed before they came on you probably would have guessed anyways.

@deej: I'm pretty sure themes at 2:02, 3:30, and 4:14 are all performed and written by the same guy. Also, the theme at 1:18 is written by him as well. All four shows originated on the same network, around the same era, from the same producers and distributors.

I also agree with Richie. Make us name them in order. But thanks for including one of my favorites of all time, "The Drew Carey Show"! Also the clip you used for the Friends theme song isn't the exact version of "I'll Be There For You" that the show used for the theme song, but I'm sure you know that.

OK, did anyone else think the 0:33-0:43 clip was "Reading Rainbow". Obviously, that's not a sitcom, but I listened to it three times and kept hearing the similarities.

Was that common singer Alan Thicke? I say no on naming them in order. Yes, you could just type in sitcom names. But if somebody wants to do that, who cares? Also, the forced order makes it hard to go back and type one in if you remember it later.

Hmm maybe you should set it so you can listen to every clip two times, time limit wise? I had more than enough time but that's because many stumped me.

Best. Quiz. Ever. Pardon the rant, but I miss when theme songs actually identified the show, unlike now when it's just 4 seconds of random notes.

They need to be in order. When I took this quiz, I made several educated guesses for theme songs that turned out to be correct for other songs. This is not fair. I did not have the knowledge about the theme songs, so I do not deserve to get credit. I fail to see what is controversial about this.
