	I've seen some of these word sequences on other ladders, but clever idea making us get the first and last in order to get some of the middle words. I think I've seen 'match a bet in poker' on about 20 or 30 different quizzes, it's getting a little tired

	The clue doesn't ask for the first commander of the Enterprise, it asks for Kirk's predecessor. In the original show's pilot, Pike is the captain and lead of the show so in that since he is Kirk's predecessor. It also holds in the new movie that Pike is Kirk's predecessor. Archer was never the commander of the Enterprise ship that Kirk was on (he was captain of the NX-01 instead). If you want to start complaining and show off your nerd power, at least get it right.

	I didn't realise it was about Facebook until the Zuckerberg clue. For the 'Feature on [first rung] + [last rung]' I spent ages wondering what features faces and books had in common. Boy did I feel stupid when the penny finally dropped. @random cloud: If they want to be really pedantic about it they could change the colour to either #627AAD or #1D4088 which Facebook use. Firebug says they are currently using #3F5499. I'll stop being a geek now.....

	@donpcd A predecessor refers to someone who precedes another in some position (office, job, ect) and the prefix "pre" means before (hence the term prefix). The question is certainly not asking who came after Kirk....
