	@A519: Your point would have merit if the clue had been, "Any subject of Queen Elizabeth II." But it just said, "Subject of Queen Elizabeth II." Take for example the clue "Part of a camera". That's a perfectly reasonable clue for "lens" even though not all parts of a camera are lenses. Similarly "Subject of Queen Elizabeth II" is a perfectly reasonable clue for "Brit" even though not all subjects of Queen Elizabeth II are Brits.

	@TimeAndTide, not quite. The word "part" in "part of a camera" makes clear that the clue does not refer to all pieces of a camera. There is no such qualifier "Subject of Queen Elizabeth II". "Subject of QE2" is worded in such a way that it is asking for the something that means "Subject of QE2", even though the answer is not that. There are thousands of other ways to ask for Brit, and this one isn't very good, IMO.
