| @Toby123: I'm responding as if you're NOT trolling (even though I think you are, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.) Thanksgiving is a day when Americans continue a tradition started by colonists in Massachusetts. The tradition is giving thanks for all we have, such as food, clothing, housing, and family, and we celebrate by having a big dinner with family and friends, usually with turkey, cranberry sauce/jelly, and pumpkin pie. Christmas is a day when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and is a day where, just like Thanksgiving, those celebrating thank God for family, food, housing, clothing, etc. On Christmas (and the days before and after) family and friends gather to give gifts and celebrate. Christmas Day is celebrated by huge family gatherings where gifts are given and people celebrate. |
