| chikka et. al., you seem to forget that degree of difficulty varies for people. I got all but one on this quiz, and I ended up using the entire time, and this despite the fact that I do two to three crosswords everyday and of varying difficulty. Some people, such as me, don't have the knack of thinking of words off the tops of our head based on a clue. So, if all quizzes appealed to your group, then a lot more people would have difficulty doing them, and probably wouldn't bother trying them to begin with. I can only assume that some people like to treat these kinds of quizzes as some sort of unofficial I.Q. test and so want it difficult so they can brag about being able to do it. |
