@katesutton: They were the Wet Bandits in the first film and they changed it to the Sticky Bandits in the sequel.

Great quiz, I had to give up on most of them, but isn't Susan Sarandon, not Sarah

Nice quiz, although I put in David Soul for Starsky & Hutch without thinking about it! Maybe put in the year of the movie?

Great quiz! As mentioned earlier, good mix of new and old. Also, way to make sure five names didn't pop up when you typed 'Jones' or 'Smith'. It seems like you took the time to make sure there were no repeats. That earns you a '5'.

I don't know who Sarah Sarandon is! Not sure how that happened, but it's fixed now. Also, as I was falling asleep last night, I realized, "Oops, it should be
Wet
Bandits!" I can't get anything past you guys.

Slight shame that I got Jeff Daniels by typing in Daniel Stern, but that can't really be helped.

Beautifully done and elegantly presented. You even went to the extra effort of putting all the two-line headings on the same row so they didn't generate ugly white space. It couldn't have been easy to come up with 50 unique combinations.
5 Orcles and nominated. I'm sure this is front-page bound.

I though "Meet Frankenstein" was the movie's name so didn't even attempt it since I'd never heard of it. Also, any chance of accepting alternate (mis)spellings of gyllenhall and aykroyd?

Marv would be so happy you referred to them as the Wet Bandits...he wanted that nickname notoriety so badly! :) Also, nice to see a shout-out for Myrna Loy :)

@rockgolf...I'm sure it was hard to come up with 50 unique combos. Which is why this quiz has 35. It's weird that 9.1% of people are getting Myrna Loy but only 7.4% getting William Powell. Who would know one but not the other? I suspect some people have gotten Loy accidentally by typing Loyd for Dumb & Dumber. Finally, have to agree with wbutler on Meet Frankenstein. I also thought that was the title of the film and thus did not take a shot, and judging by how low on the list they are, many are in the same boat.

For a couple of them I really could have done with knowing what the film was. Without that I had no context for placing George - let alone Mary - Bailey.

Even though the ones listed in the quiz may be the originals, Tony Randall and Jack Klugman will always be The Odd Couple in my mind.

weird, for some reason I thought you were going for Portman and Knightley on the star wars twins.. trying for the harder path is a symptom of sporcle!
