@LTH Holy crap, that was hard. I'm pleased that I had at least one from each movie. I'm very proud of my score, which would have only been improved if I could have spelled two more of them correctly. A piece of work that made my brain hurt a lot, maybe another minute or two?

Why isn't Laurence Harvey and Leslie Parrish an answer for The Manchurian Candidate?
Comment below threshold: show it | ishtar604: | Feb 4th, 2011 at 05:20 GMT | | -31 points |
I quit when it didn't accept my answer of Matthew Broderick and Kristen Chenowith for the Music Man. It didn't say it had to be the original cast.

lol @ishtar604 but it does pretty much say "from the 1960s" up in the title

"The Ugly Dachshund"? Instead of "The Graduate"? Or Zefferelli's "Romeo & Juliet"? Otherwise good quiz.

@rockgolf: Who's the romantic female lead in The Graduate, though?

I give this quiz a 5! I didn't know a lot of them before they were revealed to me (I was born in the 60's), but there wasn't a single name I've never heard of...Good Quiz!

Would have liked to have seen "The Odd Couple" on here, but I guess it wouldn't really fit the description in the leading question.

@ishtar604: You spelled Kristin Chenoweth's name wrong anyway, so you still wouldn't have gotten it right.

@JohnJF: Anne Bancroft was at least as romantic as Katherine Hepburn in The Lion In Winter and/or Faye Dunaway in Bonnie & Clyde.

I agree it should have been Lawrence Harvey for the Manchurian Candidate- and shouldn't Angela Lansbury be acceptable, too? She's the one I remember most from that movie.

@rockgolf: That was a more a reference to Bancroft vs. Ross.

Don't you just hate when you can picture the face of the actor, but instantly go blank on their names? UGH! I knew more answers by the face than I was able to name.

@lynnj I remember Angela Lansbury from that movie, one of the most chilling performances on film, but she and her son played by Harvey weren't a valentine sort of couple
