Great quiz except I don't really agree with "wham". New Hampshire has a space between the 'w' and the 'H'. At least indicate in the notes to ignore spaces - as of now, you don't.

You need a bigger NOTE that the states appear twice -- that threw me off.

I like the idea that some states are used more than once. It makes you think rather than randomly typing in states that haven't been used.

Some of these that start in the middle of a syllable are rough. Great quiz!

: As I found when making the Country Hidden Words quiz this week, the longer the name, the more of a gimme the answer is. It would be shocking if those three examples didn't score over 98%. Vote this comment up if you like the challenging words, down if you would like some super easy ones!

This would be better if there were more. I kept thinking of words hidden in other state names that weren't listed (connect for CT, lean(s) for NO, etc.). I know they are "gimmes" but it's just annoying that I couldn't stop thinking about the missing ones when I took the quiz.

@freakthegeekout: NO isn't a state. It barely qualifies as a city these days. It's more like God's bullseye.

I got 'cut' fine, but 'tic' was the last one I figured out and I LIVE in CT! Awesome quiz-I liked it with the shorter (more challenging) words, too.

So pleased to see that of the three I missed, I've LIVED IN two of them. Maybe my friends will start believing me when I say I'm terrible at geography.

I'll echo those before who have said this is much tougher than it would appear. Fun and challenging. The syllable break thing is the kicker...couldn't for the life of me think of a state with a B (lab) besides Nebraska!

@isk646: Um, you have to answer in order because otherwise you can just type in all 50 states without looking at a single clue and get 100%.

How well you do definitely depends on where you live. PA was the most missed and DE the 3rd most missed, but I got them both because I work in DE and live in PA. Meanwhile, I missed MI, but I bet those who live there didn't! :-)
