| @chikka2: That was exactly what I was going to post. Mary Stuart Masterson is the main character and the "rooting interest" of that movie.

From Wiki: " The tomboyish Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson) has always considered working class misfit Keith Nelson (Eric Stoltz) her best friend. But when Keith asks out the most popular girl in school, Amanda Jones (Lea Thompson), Watts realizes she feels something much deeper for him."
Every plot summary of that movie lists it as the story of the female character. Stoltz's character is a plot device. Masterson's character is the protagonist.
Other than that, the only triffling complaint I have is with listing anyone but Kevin Bacon as the protagonist of Footloose. Yes, I know it was remade. I also think it's a horrible movie, but I still remember the original from high school. I couldn't tell you anyone who was in the remake. That's my deal, though, not an issue with the quiz. |
