	To those who don't know who Tim Tebow is: Imagine a young striker, just out of college, and playing for his last place club team. He has the worst mechanics you will see, and by the 80th minut, his team is regularly down 3-0. Then he suddenly transforms into Superman and leads his team to a win, week after week, leaving the country (even John Elway) amazed. That's basically Tim Tebow, futbol version

	@Weasel: Football is (one of) America's primary sport(s). A Scottish curler is not a good analogy. And Thomas Edison is far more famous an inventor than Berners-Lee. I see what you're saying and it's a shame that no one gives him recognition, but he wouldn't have been able to to it without electric power grids. (although Westinghouse and Tesla get a lot of credit there too)

	@A_Trep I realise this Tebow character is clearly better-known in the USA than Tom Brewster is in the UK. I was originally going to put Tom Daly (British diver, well-known in the UK but probably not in the US), but wanted someone more obscure to reinforce the point. So I just typed 'Tom' plus various letters into Wikipedia and settled for the first British sportsperson I came across.
