Nice quiz. I only wish that you accepted "Sword in the Stone" without "the" in front. My bad.

the actual name of the character you've dubbed "prospector" is stinky pete. i wonder if more than 49.8% would have gotten it right if you'd called him that instead?

Freakin' Whoopi Goldberg. I kept putting 'How the Emperor Got His Groove Back,' and kept thinking, 'I must be misspelling Emperor or something...'

Are there any named characters in Fantasia? Oh, sugar plum fairy, sorcerer... but nobody has an actual name, right? Well, Bacchus, Pegasus are in there, but not named. I'd love to cry foul, but if 13% actually got it (maybe by cutting and pasting in Fantasia repeatedly?) I can't really complain.

The only reason I was able to identify the Fantasia villain is that he's in American Gods, and I must have looked him up at some point.

@bobman1: The "devil" character in the Night On Bald Mountain sequence of Fantasia is called Chernabog. He's not called by name in the movie, but it is his official name and pretty well know to us "Disney people". He often appears as a villain in Disney Parks shows/parades/merchandise.

@bobman1: There are more named characters in Fantasia, they are just not spoken in the film because there is no dialogue. Naming key characters is helpful when the storytellers and animators are talking to each other. The sorcerer is Yensid. The black baby pegasus and the little Chinese mushroom both have names, but I don't remember what they are now. And yes, the "Night on Bald Mountain" character is named Chernabog, after a Romanian (I think) legend.

@LTH @hornplayer If you forget to put a space between "the" and "sword," then it actually won't work. Sporcle ignores "the" unless it thinks you're trying to say "thesword" as a completely separate word.

@Imclala and Wildboo, thanks so much for the info. The mushroom has a name?!?! Yesnid is a great name for the sorcerer--Disney backwards. I may have heard that before, come to think of it. Rachelkachel, thank you too--if you mean the Neil Gaiman book "American Gods" I'll have to re-read it. @Transitfan, the best way to recall Skinner as the rats' nemesis is to think of the psychologist BF Skinner, who put rats through mazes (which is where I believe the chef's name comes from. Not a lot of Parisians named Skinner. Even fewer named Seymour Skinner.). Thanks all.
