	I was so proud of myself for knowing Joshua led the Israelites into the Promise Land because I figured a lot of people would initially think Moses. Then I immediately went to David for first king of Israel without thinking about it. Gah! Still scored in the 85th percentile though.

	Thomas is only the "doubter" in John. Elaine Pagels has a pretty neat book on the subject, that it was the Johannine author's direct response to the Gospel of Thomas. (Which is not in the canonical Bible, but was definitely written before the Johannine scriptures.)

	REALLY well-made game. I like the mix of Hebrew & Christian Scriptures, and the mix of well-known and obscure (including the way familiar characters are clued).

	@untakenhandle & GaiusMarius, I personally like Thomas because as I read the story, he's basically calling "No fair! You can't appear to everyone else while I'm not there! I wanna see this first-hand." And Jesus honors his wish. :)

	@GaiusMarius: Actually, the majority of scholars date the Gospel of John from 90-95 AD, and the Gospel of Thomas around 180 AD.

	@kidcanada: There are plenty of things in the past that really did happen that you just can't prove or can't prove yet. Not every event throughout time leaves physical evidence of its occurrence. We leave some things to faith.

	@kidcanada: I thought the archaeological evidence of the story of Jericho was common knowledge by now (http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/cm/v21/n2/the-walls-of-jericho). Obviously that kind of evidence for Jonah being swallowed by a fish, or a man being cured (by God, not the river) while washing in a river is impossible. So in the only case where evidence is possible, we find it. Don't blame the Bible for not being a science textbook; it's not trying to be one. We also don't blame science textbooks for not revealing God; both are important.

The idea of 'discover{y} [of] the truth' has nothing to do with faith or belief - you can't claim to be in reasonable pursuit of an objective 'truth' AND claim to be a 'believer' at the same time. It would be more accurate (clearly) to say "You will not discover the 'truth'. No one can. Believe or do not believe."

	The good thing about attending Jewish Day School for nine years: I knew all the Old Testament answers. The bad thing about attending Jewish Day School for nine years: I had never even heard of the people being described from the New Testament.
