| On the Waterfront should work for 'Front' |
 | broadway: | Dec 17th, 2010 at 03:31 GMT | | 6 points |
| I loved this quiz except All the King's Men should count for King and not just be a bonus answer. Either that, or have a new word. |

| Shouldn't the movie "Life is Beautiful" knock out two of these words, or are you considering it's original language title instead? |
 | strags11: | Dec 27th, 2010 at 04:59 GMT | | 22 points |
| I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that we won't be able to add "Airbender", "Bounty", or "3D" to this list come February. |
 | JayHankEdLyon: | Dec 27th, 2010 at 06:23 GMT | | -2 points |
| I guess "Waterworld" doesn't count because it's all one word. Huh. |
 | boknowsmovies: | Dec 27th, 2010 at 06:50 GMT | | 7 points |
| @dxdtdemon This list is referring to movies that won best picture, so "Life is beautiful" would not work. "Titanic" won in 1997. |

| A great quiz and I like the fact that the selections include old and new Academy winners, but I do think it could use another minute or two. |
 | mungar: | Dec 27th, 2010 at 09:05 GMT | | 4 points |
| 'Scott Pilgrim vs the World' can knock two words of this list by winning best picture. Of course, that would be the greatest upset in the history of anything. |

| So I tried "Bridge Over the River Kwai" for "over" and then of course forgot all about it by the time I got to "river" |

| @strags11: Even if The Bounty Hunter won Best Picture, it couldn't be added to the list anyway, since Mutiny on the Bounty already won Best Picture in 1935. |
 | strags11: | Dec 27th, 2010 at 15:07 GMT | | 1 point |
| @tk925 - Ouch, you're quite correct, and The Deer Hunter takes care of "Hunter" (and, to add insult to injury, "The"). Nice catch. |

| excellent quiz...I might've gotten a couple more if I'd had more time, since some of my all-time favorites were ones I couldn't think of (Ordinary People, argh!). |

| No matter how much I tried, neither "Life is Beautiful" nor "The Philadelphia Story" won Best Picture. Darn. |
 | mellybmel: | Dec 27th, 2010 at 20:01 GMT | | 3 points |
| Clever quiz, nice mix. Much harder than I expected, especially if you remember that river title as "over" instead of "on" and then doom yourself...another, please? |
 | broadway: | Dec 27th, 2010 at 20:27 GMT | | 4 points |
| I still don't see why All The King's Men doesn't work. It has "king" and won BP but its only a bonus answer. |
 | chriskotx: | Dec 27th, 2010 at 22:10 GMT | | 1 point |
| I got 22/34 and expected to score in the 50 to 70 percentile range...no 97%. I guess there arent as many knowledgeable moviephiles out there as I thought. Or maybe being around when most of these movies were out just gives me a big advantage. |

| "There Something About Mary" wasn't counted for the first one?
I also understand that since "Ghostbusters" is all one word you couldn't use it. |
 | Outlander: | Dec 30th, 2010 at 19:05 GMT | | 1 point |
| ^ Note that this is for best picture only. A quiz like this would not be possible if it included every movie ever made as it would take years to create. |

| Sporcle Admin, can you change it so you don't have to select the answer space? It seems unnecessary for a quiz like this... |
