| when you harvest it, what do you eat? anything that can be removed from the plant, without harming the plant is a fruit. if you eat the stem, leaves or body of the plant it is a vegetable. strawberries have the seeds on the outside, so it has nothing to do with the seeds in or out. think about what you eat, whole or part of the plant, such as turnips and carrots. vegetable and fruit are both scientific terms, not just culinary, sorry. |
