Pic-Tac-Toe is a grid of nine pictures arranged in a 3x3 grid. Each row, column, and diagonal has a unique theme. Credit to the editors of GAMES Magazine, where I first saw this puzzle type years ago.

I'm going to give this 5 stars because I only got 2 answers. It was a good exercise in lateral thinking, and I probably could have scored more answers if I had remembered the name to the Stanley Kubrick movie for which I could remember the entire thing scene by scene, except the very name of the movie. (Gah!)

Thanks for the Editor Pick! Any comments on this one are welcome. Frankly, I'm a little worried that the top right photo is a tad vague. Let me know what you think.

This was fun! A couple of alternative answers that you might (or might not) want to include (I eventually came up with versions that the quiz currently accepts, but I tried these first): "kinship terms" for the bottom row, and "parliament" for the bottom left diagonal (the House of Commons and the Senate being the two houses of Parliament here in Canada).

The monkeys/Monkees homonym was a little weak, but 5/5 regardless. Well done!

@Tahnan - I think you're right, at least in the way I had it portrayed. I changed the picture to come from a different direction, which I believe makes more logical sense. Good call!

If you expect us to get two different hockey teams from one photo, at least put the second team's logo on the picture.

Lovely quiz! Possibly accept Commonwealth spellings: “colour(s)” as well as “color(s)”?

Middle column could also be loosely described as criminal organizations. A deserved 5 orbs. I'm jealous.

I really enjoy this type of quiz. The first one I didn't do too good on, but it helped me with this one. These quizzes cause you to think in different ways. Of course some helpful acceptances is nice too, such as when I put Greek and got the top left diagonal.

Love these quizzes! I got 6/8. One of the ones I missed was the top row, which seemed so obvious when revealed LOL I tried "Shadows" because in every picture in the top row, you see at least part of a shadow of someone in the picture. I was really proud of myself until I found out that wasn't it LOL Alternate?

Great quiz!! I got 7 out of 8. Only missed the last one. Also, I kept on thinking the top row had to do with people holding some sort of stick. Robert Johnson with his guitar, Alex from A Clockwork Orange with his stick, and the hockey players with their hockey sticks. I eventually got the right answer, though.
