Very weak quiz for such a strong category. Not nearly enough or good enough clues. "rotator" also works for the first clue & "race car driver" works for racer but neither is accepted.
Take a look at the quality of the other "Begins & ends" with quizzes and try to match that level of quantity, variety & cluing. It won't be easy to write, but given that quizzes have been done on "K", "B" & "X", well "R" should be a cinch.
I suggest you use this list as a starting point:
http://www.onelook.com/?w=r*r&scwo=1&sswo=1 - If you follow the "next page" options you have over 600 choices. Pick 30 to 40 really good ones.
Unlike crosswords, you want unambiguous clues. Nonetheless, http://www.xwordinfo.com/Word.aspx can often supply a starting point. Try "rotor" or "ruler" as an example, and you'll get an idea of how varied clues can be.
These types of quizzes can draw 50,000 players. At 5 minutes each that's almost half a year collectively that the game is played. Make it worth the players' while. |
