Whew! Made it with 2 seconds left. Not as easy as it seems, especially with just a minute to do it. Nice quiz.

Nice quiz - harder than it looks. Could have used more time.

@caramba: "There is a new Mexico, and it's called Arizona." -Gov. Jan Brewer (Fine, vote me down ... it was worth it).

I think this needs a bit more time. One minute is very short.

I got seven of them, and was literally in the middle of typing the last one, "Utah," when I ran out of time. Rats.

Yeah, I like the blitziness, but a few more seconds would not be overly generous.

When making a quiz, it has to be a whole number of minutes long, and 2:00 would be rather pointless.

How is this not enough time? There are only 8 states to type. 30 seconds would be a much better barometer but I don't think sporcle allows it to go that short.

i think one minute is fine - you have about 2 seconds to think about each letter and if there is more than one state that starts with it. I think there are Sporclers who can name all 50 states in under 2 minutes, so one minute to name 8 is challenging, but possible

I could definitely name all 50 in two minutes (indeed, I can sing the song very, very speedily... because I'm weird), which is why I made it one minute. It would just be too simple, and the point is to require quick thinking. With that said, I hope everyone has a great time with this one minute of their lives.

@dje: been to all 8, but not like the front page suggested - that's too much flying just to skip over the others. @kicking: found I could sing the song in under a minute and type, too. Are you saying I'm weird? (Sadly, probably am). Would have been a challenge without the song, though!

I think the clause "not bad for a Brit" should become more commonplace. It has a nice ring to it.

It took me 51 seconds to get 5, then 8 seconds to get 3. What a wild thrill ride those last 8 seconds were. Like riding a bull called "Sporcle."

I just double-checked to make sure I'm not going crazy, but is there another state besides Vermont beginning with the letter "V"? If I'm wrong I apologize.
