I really waffled on whether or not to include Cedric Ceballos as a regular answer or a bonus; I will happily listen to comments of either opinion.
I am 99.9% sure I have caught everybody, but please let me know if I missed a player.

Reminds me of a couple of my quizzes--I did this kind of thing for Kenny Lofton and Deion Sanders. And yes, the Sanders one asked for both NFL and MLB teammates. Anyway, not sure if you're interested in seeing those.

I definitely recall taking the Deion one, now that you mention it, as (after Shaq and Greg Maddux) he's my favorite athlete ever. I also recall doing really, really horribly on it.

Well, you can't win them all, right? I only got 15/28 on this one. Gave it a 5 though.

Excellent, forgot Laettner somehow was an All-Star with the Hawks. I'd like to see a Robert Parish one of these, in fact I may make one.

Maybe I am misreading the Ceballos bonus comment, but he was on the Lakers for two seasons.

He means he was traded 8 games into the year that Shaq joined the team and also didn't PLAY in an all-star game, though he was selected, because he was injured. I actually guessed Ceballos but wasn't expecting him to come up, I think they way you have it works.

I must have typed 'Harper' 10 times swearing that either Ron or Derek was an All-Star at least once. Though they both should have been, neither were.

Awesome quiz. Thought I hit the jackpot with Caron Butler......except they were traded for each other. Very well done.

Thanks a lot for the kind words, everybody. Anyone think of another player who might also apply? Also, I REALLY love that Marion factoid. It makes me happy.

Nice! You had Marion as a bonus for that replay game.

Even more remarkable than the fact that Marion and Shaq were teammates for that game, despite being traded for each other, is the fact that on December 19, 2007 Marion played 51.9 seconds for the Heat in Atlanta, while on the same night he also had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Suns in Dallas.

Sacrilicious "Christian Laettner made an NBA All Star game? My brain just melted a little bit. " How about Laettner making an AS Game, but "Big Shot Bob" Robert Horry and his 7 NBA titles never played in one.

Shaq may be able to win 4 championships and 3 MVP's, but he'll never be able to make 2 consecutive free throws. ;)

WOO!!! It seems like millennia (even though it's only been a couple of months) since I've had a front-page quiz. It always feels so nice to get published. I hope everyone has had/is having a good time with this one. And Sporcle, thanks for publishing it on his birthday- I've loved Shaq for so long, it's almost a mini-holiday in my eyes. :)

schnu: laettner was actually pretty solid his first few years in the NBA. as for bob horry, i admit he was good in the clutch, but never an all-star material in my eyes.

He just needs to work on free throws to complete the task of an NBA legend.

There was a time when Laettner was one of the better offensive post-threats in the league. About middle of his career. Horry was never all-star level, though he was a solid starter for many years. Rice was more of a forward than a guard. he was alwways a 3 man, and it was no difference when he was with Shaq. Kobe was the 2 (Eddie Jones before him). Shaq won a couple of titles with AC Green.
