I've developed a new version where you have to enter all the capitals and if the capital is also the largest city you have to enter yes before the capital name. For example, you would enter augusta, concord, yesboston, yesprovidence, etc. Wrong answers are actually counted as wrong and the correct answer is shown. Examples of wrong answers are yesaugusta, portland, yesportland, yesconcord, manchester, yesmanchester, boston, etc. I had to do this in a non-grouped answer format because grouped answer quizzes don't handle wrong answers as well. I will release this new quiz in early November as my October quota of 11 games has run out:( p.s. I like wrong answer quizzes, but don't like minefield quizzes much. I've also developed a workaround (probably been done before by others, but I've never seen it) for people who don't like seeing ??? on the unanswered questions. I upload a screenshot of the completed quiz with all the correct answers to photobucket and then provide a link called "The Answers" The player can easily figure out what they missed since I don't use randomization of answers when I do this. I often randomize in Excel before uploading, but then keep it the same which facilitates people checking for missed answers since they are in the same place when you take the quiz and when you look up the "The Answers". Here's an example of a quiz where I did this. http://www.sporcle.com/games/KenHi/name-the-states-by-postal-code |
