| I don't think Micronesia should be one here, mainly because "Micronesia" is a region of the world comprising Kiribati, the Mariana Islands, Marshall Islands, Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, and Wake Island. You could theoretically make the argument that almost no country actually has only one word since a lot of them are "The Republic of [insert country here]" But, it is a lot easier to make the argument that "The Republic of" should be dropped for the purposes of this quiz since it is so commonly disregarded. I don't thing you should disregard the "Federated States of" since it distinguishes the region of Micronesia from the Federated States of Micronesia. Therefore, Micronesia should not be thought of as a one word country. |
