Paraguay is the most guessed - go figure. Was this first published in Asuncion?

Fun quiz. Perhaps a bonus for El Salvador? If The Maldives qualifies, El Salvador has a claim as well.

courbet: Although it is often referred to as The Maldives or The Maldive Islands, the official name of the country is "Republic of Maldives" (no THE), so it wouldn't apply even as a bonus really.

I'd have much better luck on the "17 letter countries" quiz (Bosnia-Herzegovina; 20 if one includes "and"). Or perhaps 27 letter countries (Federated States Of Micronesia).

17/24, not special...but only getting 1 of the top 5 = wtf?

midnightdj: Are you saying that Maldives shouldn't be included for those reasons mentioned? The we should exclude many countries in sporcle for their "official" name such as "Republic of ..", "Kingdom of..." and so on.

@DiscoStew: I mentally separate Paraguay into Para and Guay, so it was the first that came into my mind. Not sure that's the reason it's the most guessed though.

My first thought was Kiribati ... a definite sign of Sporclitis.

Cyborgsun: NO! I wasn't saying that at all!! I miswrote what I meant to say is that EL SALVADOR shouldn't have been included...in answer to a comment from courbet! My pronoun "it" was imprecise! Sorry for the confusion! :) Thanks for pointing it out!

before a huge possible scotland, wales, northern ireland debate breaks out, virtually all sporcle quizzes use the international organization for standardization in determining what is a country. United Kingdom is accepted, not all its parts

"What's that last one that comes right before Slovenia? Hmmmm..." Who would have guessed it would be Slovakia?
