Fixed, thanks! And yes, a lot of the states you just type in the state name again which is kind of lame, but I didn't name the colleges. :P

should accept just Washington for Washington University in St. Louis since you don't make the user type "Johns Hopkins University" for Johns Hopkins.

You should specify that it's only for universities and not LACs.

Agreed on the immediate two prior points. "Washington" should be accepted for consistency. When I tried that and failed, I moved on. As for universities vs. LACS... it becomes pretty obvious (no Carleton in Minnesota, Middlebury in Vermont or Bowdoin in Maine) but it probably still should be indicated. Really good idea overall though.

Ole Miss should be accepted.

Probably could use a bit more time on this one!

So it's pretty much almost every state school and then whatever Ivy League schools are out there? Jeez.. how I hate the US News and World Report rankings.. They're so useless.

I think that maybe you should change the title to "best university" in each state, not "best college"...there are definitely some small liberal arts colleges that are ranked higher than the state university (i.e. Carleton in Minnesota, Grinnell in Iowa, Bowdoin in Maine, Middlebury in Vermont). Otherwise, I think this was a really interesting idea for a quiz!

Ok, changes made! And I changed the time limit to 7 minutes, let me know if you guys think that is about right.

@ef232623 - more than a third of the schools on here are neither a state school or an Ivy, so I don't quite agree with your point.

Georgia and Ohio were tough. I kept wanting to call the Ohio one "CW Post." I came nowhere close on Georgia, thinking it was the ACC school.

It's "West Virginia University" not "University of West Virginia"

Don't forget DC. There are a few universities, and *gasp* the best one isn't named "Washington DC University"

There's no reason that this should have to be guessed in order.

Could you change it to accept, for example, "U Arkansas" or "Univ Arkansas"? Or else at least add more time? It took so long to type "University" over and over and over!

@SammyG: I disagree. If somebody knows Harvard is a good s school, but not that it is in Massachusetts, they should not get credit.

@smart_mom: you can just get the answer by typing "Arkansas". :)
