You include Bombardier, but why dont you include the alternate names for Private (eg Trooper, Sapper, Guardsman, Fusillier etc)?

These are RANKS not "alternate names" and Privates are not called for example Sapper Smith or Trooper James. You might get someone called Bombardier Williams.

A private in the Royal Engineers is called Sapper Smith, just like a Corporal in the RA is called Bombardier Jones. Different regiments have different ranks for private. Just look at the list of fatalities in Afghan and you will see there are several people with the ranks of Trooper, Guardsman etc depending on what regiment they are in http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10629358
