Harding was quite the addict, eh? It goes without saying that Eisenhower and Reagan have quit smoking. Obama, I'm not so sure. With all the stresses of being president...that doesn't sound like the ideal situation for kicking the habit.

I liked the quiz, but what about Franklin Delano Roosevelt? I'm not sure if he was a regular smoker, but there is that one famous picture of him with a cigarette.

I'm pretty sure LBJ smoked.

I don't know if Obama has 100% fully quit yet.

Interesting quiz, but considering the prevalence of smoking until recent decades, I'd be astonished if a FULL list didn't include at least half the presidents not mentioned above.

You're right FDR and LBJ both smoked. They just weren't on the source i used. I just added them so now they are the least guessed. And I will shorten the time as well. And (quit) means that they quit during their lifetime, they are obviously dead.

Clinton smoked cigars. He also had another use for them I won't go into here. I agree most of them probably used tobacco in some form.

Yeah, Obama gave an interview where he admitted he had fallen back into his habit. Calls himself "95% cured". http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/06/reluctantly-president-obama-admits-he-still-smokes-but-is-95-cured.html

Obama hasn't quit smoking. In his latest physical it is indicated that he is still smoking.

Shouldn't Clinton be on here? Or does it not count if you don't inhale?

Clinton may not have smoked but he did infamously "use" a cigar.

I was able to figure out which ones I was missing because it was in order. It would make it harder to scramble them.

There's a story of William McKinley being about to light up a cigar in the White House when he realized a photographer was in the room; he put it down and remarked that it would be unseemly for "the youth of America" to see their president smoking. Teddy Roosevelt, who was there, later said he was disgusted by McKinley's prissiness. (If Teddy had smoked, you just know he would have wrestled Lung Cancer itself to the ground and made it holler uncle...)
