Accept Denmark for Greenland? I tried Denmark in case you included Greenland but great quiz. :)

Mexico actually spans 3 time zones (Baja California (Norte) is in GMT -8). Kiribati is in multiple time zones as well.

If Denmark is accepted because of Greenland then shouldn't France be accepted because of French Guiana?

Why not just put Denmark as the answer, and get rid of the apostrophe and stuff? Greenland is part of Denmark, and Denmark is thus a country with several timezones. Greenland isn't, because it isn't a country.

I decided to exclude the territories and commonwealths and just include the 195 sovereign nations that have multiple time zones. And thanks for corrections. Anything else I missed?

In Spain we have two time zones, 0 in Canary Islands and +1 in the rest of the country. Not counting it would be like not counting Alaska and Hawaii time zone for USA.

Kiribati used to straddle the international date line, which always used to be a problem, since the governments in each of the different 'days' could only do business 4 days a week, when their weekdays coincided. They got the date line moved in 1995 and that's how they end up with the strange looking +13 and +14.

@JonSavo, French Guiana is not a territory of France, its a region, like Paris or Brittany. And so are Guadeloupe, Martinique and Reunion, so France is in Multiple time zones

Ditto on the France bit, Guiana is a territory just like Hawaii is a state. You can easily make an argument to leave Denmark out, Greenland's part of the Kingdom of Denmark but has a pretty large degree of autonomous home rule. Anyways, good idea, good quiz.
