You're still given Harry's thoughts about what he sees. For example, when Riddle is walking toward where Hagrid is to "turn him in", you are not given Riddle's thoughts that he is about to frame Hagrid, you are given Harry's thoughts that he is confused and shocked that Hagrid is Slytherin's Heir.
