The goal of the game is to guess the President I am describing. There are up to 8 hints that can be given by typing in any number 1-8 into the answer box. Hint 1 will help you the least, Hint 8 the most, and everything in between responds accordingly. If you have any problems tell me.

I like the idea of the quiz. I would suggest maybe making clue 2 come later in the quiz though.

Ok, I think I'll switch it with 4. Unless the Sporcle community really knows their Presidential birth places.

I'd consider shortening the time to 1 minute. In 2 minutes you could type in every President.

I don't think 8 helps as much as you say it will. Funny though

4 helps more than 5 imho.

snowman888 and tscheno2: It all comes down to how you remember your presidents. I remember Taft from the US President posters at school and how he was so overweight. I guess its all a matter of opinion

Haha this reminds me of high school where he was invariably referred to as Big Daddy Taft.

Got it on the second hint. The Tafts are associated with Ohio. The Chief Justice clue should be further down the list.

I got it on one. Just listing the Republicans in order until I got there.

What an awesome idea for a quiz! That's thinking outside the box (no pun intended). Now I need to think of something Tolkieny with which I can do this.

Love the idea. Unfortunately I didn't read the 'hint' description until after. Still, I guessed Taft randomly (after Clinton, Roosevelt, Bush, Pierce, and JFK).

Nice. But republican doesn't help because effectively, the democrats and the republicans are about as right-wing and racist as each other, so it didn't really help! But great quiz!

I feel like you could put 5 earlier. I love the idea already, and this is just one opinion, but I didn't find that clue to be as helpful as some of the ones before it.

Everyone has their one way of remembering presidents so the order of the hints is very opinionated. I remember my Presidents largely by appearance which is probably why #5 is where it is.

Taft is the only US president to also serve on the Supreme Court. That clue alone would have done the trick for me.

Good idea for a quiz. I think it might be more fun if no misses were allowed, though.

I think your clues are too easy. Taft was the first thing to spring to my mind as soon as I knew he was a Republican from Ohio. Maybe describe events that happened during his tenure? Or make the clues much less direct.

Maybe you could give hints like "warm" or "cold" (in terms of when the president was in office).

I don't know why, but Taft was the first president I guessed after seeing clue #1, so I finished this quiz in 3 seconds.

I think it would be better if we had to start with number 1 and get the next one if we missed it on that one. On both your quizzes, I read the instructions and said "Ok I'll start with number 8." Of course I got it right away.
