| Love these debates. Yes, Pedro was unhittable for a couple years in there, but Yaz was a top notch hitter from roughly 1963 to 1975 every single year, and still a decent DH for several years late in his career, and ranks near the top all time in several major hitting stats. Yaz should be #2. I'd put Pedro on par with Clemens - dominant for a 5-6 year period with the Sox. Not that Pedro isn't 10 times more likeable, but this is purely based on what he did as a player.
Based on their relatively short times as Sox, I would not put the Babe or Jimmy Foxx ahead of Rice, Evans, and Papi. I think they both belong in the low teens, maybe just ahead of Nomah.
I'm actually a little surprised Buckner didn't make it. Guess he wasn't with the Sox that long. But Dave Henderson made it purely on the basis of one hit. (Should've been two though. Aauuugghhh!)
