Since the instructions refer to "towns and cities" I honestly thought Ho-Ho-Kus was a red herring, since it is neither; it is a borough. Fun quiz, otherwise!

If you wish to be technical then it's towns, cities, boroughs, townships, hamlets, villages, unincorporated entities, and/or any other type. Either way Ho Ho Kus is found on a map of the US. For those who don't know, it's in New Jersey.

Don't you think Springfield's a bit obvious? We have 10 of those.

You mean it's not just the town on The Simpsons? Guiding Light? And who knows how many other shows? LoL. Can't have them all hard. I think there are 17 Springfields, including two here in NJ. One in Burlington County and one in Union.

It's actually Ho-Ho-Kus. Only town in America with two hyphens.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, it appears Ho-Ho-Kus might be a toughy. Big drop from #17 to #18. Have to call the NJ Department of Tourism and have them promote it more.

I would suggest adding Hell, Michigan.

My finger fell for Bishkek before my brain could correct it. Muscle memory I guess.
