| Awesome quiz!! Just one thing to change: It's Good Will Hunting (three words), not a movie about looking for bargains ;) |

| mrcnp... not as easy as most of it's characters. |

| great quiz |

| Might just be me but I thought putting the year of release took a lot of the challenge away. I wouldn't have got some of these had it not been for the extra clue. Good quiz though. Sequel please. |

| The years are fine. Some of these are easier to get if you read them out loud... or they at least sound funny! If I'm being fussy I'd say the y in Ryan is being used as a vowel and therefore should be omitted, but I loved the quiz! |

| Latest Sporcle trend= an obsession with a lack of vowels, of which Y is not one. |
 | XCBoss: | Aug 4th, 2010 at 11:37 GMT | | 2 points |
| Good quiz, but I agree with ThatStarGirl that "y" is a vowel in Saving Private Ryan, because it would be pronounced the same as an "i". |

| "Y" is not a vowel. It is USED AS a vowel in some circumstances. There are 5 vowels and 21 consonants. :)
Great quiz...wish I'd noticed the years! |
 | MrCaliChicago: | Sep 9th, 2012 at 09:41 GMT | | 41 points |
| Apparently "Frog" isn't a movie. |
 | WredAguyW: | Sep 9th, 2012 at 09:59 GMT | | 20 points |
| @Ddrhl: About your argument of Y not being a vowel---why even bring up the argument to begin with? None of the movie titles above even have a Y in them. |
 | JayHankEdLyon: | Sep 9th, 2012 at 10:08 GMT | | 12 points |
| Ddrhl, in English the letter Y represents the consonant [j] when used in the beginning of syllables (like in "ye.llow" or "Ma.yan"), and represents a variety of vowel sounds when used anywhere else in the syllable (like in "hy.po.cri.sy" or "eye.sore"). Moreover this quiz doesn't contain any use of the letter to begin with so Y even bring it up? |

| This was a little more difficult than I expected. Good quiz. |

| 'LF' could also be 'ALFIE' - just saying! |
 | The_Baroness: | Sep 9th, 2012 at 12:06 GMT | | 4 points |
| @Rabs543 I tried Alfie too, but Alfie was from 2004/2005. |

| Might it be possible to create themed quiz sequels??? At first I thought it was best picture films so got confused but still great quiz |
 | Cecispanda: | Sep 9th, 2012 at 13:56 GMT | | 3 points |
| MrCali: I tried that too ;). For those who say having the year hurts the quiz, it is necessary to prevent there being more than one correct answer on a couple of these, such as lf. |
 | buckeyebob: | Sep 9th, 2012 at 14:40 GMT | | 1 point |
| lf could also be the Eddie Murphy movie "Life" |
 | DesertSpartan: | Sep 9th, 2012 at 15:46 GMT | | 2 points |
| i first guessed "life}, but then realized the year was wrong, but I then guessed "a flood of dreams". Of course, that was wrong, but it made the right answer easy. |

| Movies with long titles are definitely easier. I feel like this is akin to figuring out custom license plates. |

| I hate to rain on your parade, but ALL of these movies have vowels in them. The 'Fly' would be one that doesn't. or '21' or 'X' |
 | HectorVortac: | Sep 18th, 2012 at 02:53 GMT | | 0 points |
| I'd love to rain on your parade, Atreides. Are you being 'obtuse'? Are you pretending to not understand what this quiz is about? And that the title describes it precisely? (I would ask you to not be obtuse but that got Andy sent to the box for a few weeks in ShwshnkRdmptn). |

I was being acute actually. |
