I agree. Smeargle's kinda iffy. Maybe make him a bonus answer?

I don't think Smeargle should be a bonus answer, as he technically fits the definition given, but I just think it's funny how the Pokemon that can learn every move in the game is an answer to the quiz "Pokemon that can't learn squat".

Never knew about Burmy and Combee being unable to learn TMs. Huh, news to me.

Poor Pokémon... Although, I think we all agree that String Shot, Transform, Hidden Power, Sketch and Harden are some pretty iconic moves that will never be forgotten... And of course, who doesn't like a good round of pathetic Splashing?

Would've been better if the name wasn't terrible. How about a more accurate name?

Hilarious comment silverwraith720. @DroppedAtBirth, I think by the number of answers available one must assume that this includes all generations. With 17 total answers, that would make over 10% of 1stGen pokemon fall into this category which would not be reasonable.

Wow, you've really got to know your pokemon moves to get Beldum. I never would have guessed him.

MovieDynamic: "This is incredibly nerdy and sad." ...says the guy whining that movie quizzes don't have enough clues about Ingmar Bergman and Alain Resnais. Based on your comment, I'm guessing your love of Yasujiro Ozu made you the most popular guy in high school...

Hah, only got Ditto, Magikarp, and Smeargle. I've never bothered to TRY teaching all those bugs any TMs/HMs... Should've known Beldum though.

@BlueOrb: Smeargle can't learn all moves, it can't learn Transform because if Smeargle was fighting a Ditto and both used Transform it would be a never-ending battle. And I'm pretty sure it can't learn Chatter, but I don't know.

Phew... There were a lot of blank spaces until I remembered the cocoons. After that they all fell into place pretty quickly, although I still ran out of time before I got Kricketot.

@alecsl: Feebas can learn TMs/HMs/Move Tutor/Egg Moves making it superior to Magikarp in every way (who is limited to Splash, Tackle, Flail, and Bounce (yes it can learn bounce via a Move Tutor in Platinum))

There are a few gen I glitch mons that can't learn TMs. But they're really obscure and tend not to have names that can be spelled.

Smeargle can learn all moves except chatter (transform too, explosion and self destruct through use a Pokemon with damp, low priority moves with an iron ball (decreased priority)), since in the coding chatter automatically plays Chatot's call, and they didn't want that to happen with Smeargle. So sketch and chatter are the only two truly signature moves.
