I was surprised that Andre Ethier has more hits than Rafael Furcal for the Dodgers.

Shocking that the WS Champs don't have a guy with more than 400 hits with the team...

@vikesfan - they both got there in 2006 but Furcal was out most of 08 because of his back and he played like crap much of 09

@Paddy26 - That would be funny, so I took a look at a good hitting pitchers, Mike Hampton and Dontrelle Willis. I also went back and looked at Don Newcombe. Good hitting pitcher can get something like 20-30 hits a year. Even back in the day, you are only talking about 40 on a good year. To me the most interesting aspect of this list is the WS Champs are last on the list.

@Boourns I don't think Pablo Sanchez is the current hits leader with any MLB team (Although I LOVE the Backyard Baseball reference, that game was awsome!)

Good quiz, I'm surprised I was able to pull a few out. Missed 3. 2 I could have gotten, but I wasn't going to get the A's guy. I didn't realize Chavez left this past offseason. It's too bad injuries ruined him, he was a hell of a player for a while.

I think Boourns was going for a Chico Escuela reference, but I guess Sanchez works too.

Wow, that was brutal since I have not followed baseball closely in a decade. Rough being a Pirate fan. 6th %ile, easily my worst quiz ever. Excellent quiz, tho....

I am a baseball fan, and I could barely come up with a player on the Pirates roster, never mind the active hit leader. That franchise should be ashamed of itself.

Either Fielder is a lot better than I realize, or I've been out of touch with baseball for a few years. Was shocked to see him on the list.

For the first time in a while, the Pirates actually do have several worthy guys a baseball fan should know. McCutchen's a stud, Tabata and Pedro Alvarez are promising, and Neil Walker had a good debut too - nobody who'd be an active hit leader now, but one of them probably will be in 5 years. Now pitching... that's another story. :)

@SC00: Yeah, I think that's why most people weren't all that enamored with the Giants as World Champs. They'd only been together for like 3 months. A mismash of waiver wire pickups, free agent busts, over the hill vets, and various other guys who no one wanted. But I give them credit. They played a great month and it didn't take much when you have that kind of rotation and pen.

The fact you included quite a few active players behind the leaders gives you a big 5/5 from me.
