What does "most dangerous state" even mean? Lowest life expectancy? Most accidents? I'm so confused.

Link needs to be fixed. Also, way too much time; one could easily name all the states in 6 minutes.

Need clarification on "dangerous"..... I got them all, just by guessing random states.... There seems to be no common thread between the states that says "danger".

Yea, does danger mean natural disasters, homicides, driving conditions or what? Also, link does not work.

Alaska is dangerous because of the tougher conditions. Icy roads, the wildlife (bears etc.), also, I believe the 'authorities' there are in the low numbers and there's a lot of crime.

Here's the fixed link: http://www.walletpop.com/insurance/most-dangerous-states Looks like it's based on crime rates

It should say highest crime rates, or highest vehicle accident rate, or whatever the actual statistic is.

As others have said, too much time. Also, the problem with your URL is that it includes this quiz AND the source, just delete everything before the second "www" to get at it.

Oh, also Alaska has a TON of meth. Ironically (and no, I'm not implying Sarah Palin or her husband or kids is/was on meth) Wasilla is the "meth capital" of Alaska. If your state has a meth capital, you've got a problem.

@ChinaWhite: There is something of a common thread here. Most of these states are in the Southeast and Southwest, which tend to have a lot of social problems. That's where I started guessing immediately.

More explanation about what "dangerous" means, please. There is too much time, because I can just go through the state alphabetically and get all the answers in the time alotted.

A good strategy is just guessing ocean states... Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, Cali, etc and states with really hot or cold temps (Arizona, Alaska). Got them all, Nevada was a surprise #1 though

Most dangerous based on what?

What's worse is that it doesn't say whether it is total amount or a figure per capita (I assume from the results it must be the latter).

I'm surprised New York didn't make the list.

Apparently Alaska still has problems with prospectors killing each other over gold mines. That or the Iditorod has a lot of foul play. Seriously, though. How could it possibly a dangerous state? I deliberately didn't guess it because I knew it wouldn't be on the list.

WHAT ABOUT NEW YORK

@alone247 and @KCJ506 -- New York City is one of the safest large cities in the US. Most of the rest of the state's population is in the NYC suburbs, and are among the lowest-crime places anywhere in the US. So Buffalo would have to be a pretty rough town for New York state to make this list...
